[Cats] cat trivia of the day

To help them gauge whether they can fit through an opening, is what  
I've read/heard.  However, in some of my cats' experience, that is not  
always an accurate gauge - or else they are too curious to pay heed to  
the whisker warnings!

One question - do the whiskers grow longer when the kitty gets, umm, a  
bit rounder in the middle?
