[Cats] trivia answer

Congrats to Jo Anna, Anna, Barbara, and Julie for knowing the answer!

A cat's tail, in addition to expressing emotion (and for the other 
creative uses you all came up with), is used to supplement balance (as 
in counter-balance) - sort of like the way a human will extend his arms 
when walking on a balance beam or tight rope.  It's not used TO balance, 
though.  [Balance is controlled by the brain.]  Manx and other tailless 
cats seem to manage just fine without a tail.
