Don't stop, Marie!  I'm really enjoying this!

Cats drinking?  Well, Charlie sort of lays into his water bowl, gets his chin wet and licks the water off his chin.  He grew up with Cinders who did this due to his diabetic water need.  I didn't think he knew how to drink like a cat but if I put water in my bathroom sink, he sure knows how to do it!  Lap, lap, lap, swallow. LOL

The rest of the brood all drink from the water bowls in a normal cat fashion.  Jules' guess sounds good to me.
