Have any of you ever seen 3 furpersons and 1 momcat levitate all at the same time - twice!!!??? Too bad you weren't here last night and this early a.m. You'd have sure seen it then! A while back my daughter (bless her pointy little head) bought me one of those weather alarm radios thingies. I dutifully set the thing up and then, since, have been wondering if it actually works. It DOES! Believe me, it certainly does!!! At about 11 p.m. the darn thing started howling and shouting in rapid beeps, a bright blue light started flashing and all of us on the bed when straight up toward the ceiling and outward toward the opposite wall. We all landed on the floor in assorted heaps looking around wildly for the nearest thing to dive under! About the time I was unwinding from my bedding I realized what was going on and after some trouble remembering what to do and which button to push I got the whoops and shrieks shut off only to have an
automated male voice announce there was flooding two counties west of us! Got the darn thing under control and back on snooze mode and went back to bed only to have the same thing happen again about 2:45 a.m.! After we all picked ourselves up off the floor AGAIN and were told AGAIN about the flooding - 2 counties over - I flipped the off switch instead of just the snooze button! The instructions that came with the thing said no siren will sound, which it doesn't. They just don't mention the God Awful Racket the thing's alarm DOES make! What good is a warning device if every formerly living thing in the house is now lying dead on the floor from the heart attacks and strokes the darn thing brings on???!!!???
Barbara, wondering what tonight will bring. <sigh>

*Thank God we have nice neighbors around here that do not report people for
having to many cats. I don't think there is a limit as to how many you can
have. They all are up to date on their shots, so no one could say that they
are abused or not taken care of.*
*My boyfriend was really mad about the last 2 kittens that came here. But
if we hadn't taken them, I'm sure they would be dead now. Since he was mad
about it, I'll just have to say no, should this happen again.*
