[Cats] The nugget-less Nuggets

Ol' Nuggets, age 13, is sleeping more, now, and he doesn't even bother coming to the kitchen for late-night treats with the rest of the crew.  He was sleeping and dreaming next to me in the recliner last night, shrugging his shoulders repeatedly.  So I stroked his right upper leg, alongside his ribcage, and discovered another enlarged lymph node, the size of a large pea.  He has three others - two on the left side of his neck and one on the back of his upper left hind leg. He doesn't seem to be ill in any way, just skinny, with little appetite, but I attribute that to his chronic embedded viral condition, which keeps him nasally clogged, impairing his sense of nsmell, and thus, his appetite. The vet said, after testing and analysis, that there's no treatment for it, so we just keep him as happy and comfy as possible.  Every couple of days, I aspirate his nose with a bulb ear syringe to clear his excess mucus, and he doesn't object to that, at
all.  We'll just love him as long as possible;  we all live with this cloud of one kind or another hanging over us, where our fuz-luvs are concerned, don't we?

Julie MomCat, not looking forward to the inevitable. . .
